An obsessed director tries to make a Hollywood classic considered to be the perfect film. Max Sydney is a film connoisseur at heart, his obsession of a classic film that was the bedrock of his rather traumatic childhood, gave him an escape to see a stylistic and ideal world before technicolour. Closer to modern day he finds himself in the position to remake this Tinsel town classic after a contemporary career of mixed mediocrity.
